A tradition in our house has always been to have Mimosas on Christmas morning. It is a great way to celebrate and goes perfectly with breakfast and all the holiday cheer. The nice thing about this simple recipe is you don’t need to use an expensive champagne. I use Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut champagne that sells for only $12.99 in the grocery store. It has a wonderful sparkling taste that is not too dry or overly sweet with nice aromas and flavors of apples, pears and citrus and finishes with just a touch of oak. (Rating: 4/5)
- 1/2 glass of fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 glass of champagne, chilled
Pour champagne on top of orange juice in a tall flute and serve.
Cheers and Happy Holidays!
