As the summer draws to a close I thought I would mention one last light and refreshing Chardonnay to enjoy while the days are still warm. This unoaked French wine from the Languedoc area of Southern France has tropical flavors aplenty with just a hint of nuts and the fresh tangy aroma of apples and pears. It is a well-balanced, very approachable wine with nice acidity, not too dry and not too sweet and is a terrific bargain at the under $10 price point. Stock up your wine rack and definitely chill before serving.
Food Pairing: Serve with a cheese appetizer, a light salad for lunch or baked fish or chicken for dinner.
