It’s play-off time and that always seems to bring out the munchies or maybe its just the munchers. In any case, it’s a time when delicious appetizers, like our Meatball Sliders and Mexican Cheese Dip are the go-to recipes for filling up those idle hands (or mouths) when they’re not yelling for their team.

I, for one, love football (more than my husband actually) and don’t want to miss any of the plays so I opt for easy make-aheads that I can put out and forget. Of course, I always keep a few spare trays in case we run our of something but that only entails running to the fridge, popping it in the oven, and running back to catch the next play.

This crockpot meatball appetizer fits the bill just right. In fact, it’s even better because I can start it early in the day and just let it go while I fix all the other goodies. No stress and no fuss – I love it!

There aren’t many ingredients so I make it quite often. It’s usually on the table for Christmas and New Year’s parties and small get-togethers but, no matter when I make it, it disappears amidst oohs and aahs and can I have the recipe requests. Hope you enjoy it and may the best team win!
