  • Graham crackers, enough to cover the bottom of cookie sheet enough to cover the bottom of cookie sheet
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups S’mores morsels mix + 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Garnish: colored sprinkles

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a large cookie sheet, with sides, with nonstick cooking spray. Make sure it covers every nook & cranny.
  2. Cover the bottom of cookie sheet with graham crackers.

  3. In a small saucepan, heat butter and sugar to boiling, stirring to combine. Once it starts a rolling boil, stop stirring, and let it cook for 3-5 minutes. It will start to foam up as it reaches the correct temperature.
  4. Pour the caramel (butter-sugar mixture) evenly over the graham crackers.
  5. Place cookie sheet in oven for 5 minutes. Remove and immediately sprinkle s’mores morsels + additional chocolate chips over the top.

  6. Let sit 3-5 minutes to soften the chocolate then spread evenly over the top with a silicone spatula.
  7.  Immediately sprinkle with colored sprinkles if you like.

  8. Place in refrigerator to help it set faster.
  9. Once it hardens, take out and crack into pieces. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.

FAQs About Christmas Bark

How long does S'mores Bark last?

Well mine doesn't hang around very long but it should keep at room temp (in a cool place) for 1-2 weeks and in the refrigerator, tightly sealed, about 2-3 months.

Can Christmas Crack be frozen?

Yes you can actually freeze this bark. Just break it apart then place in airtight container in freezer. Bring to room temperature prior to serving.

How do you break apart this Christmas Crack?

Once the bark has cooled sufficiently just use your hands to break into pieces. I like to put mine in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more then break apart as it keeps the chocolate more intact. You can also break it apart by covering with foil then hitting it with the back of a wooden spoon.
