Notes
Tips & Variations
Why should I marinate salmon?A marinade will help tenderize the fish, add flavor and the extra moisture prevents the fish from drying out.Can I use another type of fish other than salmon?Absolutely! You can substitute any firm fish in place of the salmon, such as halibut or swordfish. How can I tell when broiled salmon is done? You'll notice the flesh turn from a raw translucent look to a pink opaque look. You can check for doneness by pulling the flesh a little with a fork and seeing if the thickest part of the meat begins to flake. It usually takes between 6-8 or 9 minutes, depending on thickness.
