Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies
These Bacon Wrapped Smokies should come with a warning. Addictive, super delicious and easy to make, smoky sausages are wrapped in bacon and topped with brown sugar glaze that bakes into a glazed candy-like finish. A great appetizer for any party!

Ingredients

package lil' smokies
about 27

bacon
cut in thirds
½
cup
brown sugar + extra for topping
½
cup
ketchup
⅛-1/4
teaspoon
cayenne pepper

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with a silicone mat or aluminum foil. (Don't skip this step)
Wrap each lil smokie in a piece of bacon.
Secure it together with a toothpick.
Continue until all lil smokies have been used.
Place on prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine ½ cup brown sugar, ketchup and cayenne pepper. Adjust cayenne to your desired amount of heat.
Remove lil smokies from oven and spoon sauce over each one. Make sure to use all of the sauce.
Sprinkle each smoky wrap with extra brown sugar.
Return to oven and bake an additional 40 minutes or until bacon is crisp and brown sugar has caramelized.
