1cupapple, dicedabout 1 medium honey crisp or fuji apple
½teaspoonground cinnamon
1 ½teaspoonhoney
½cupcheddar cheese, grated
15phyllo cups1 package
⅓cupcooked, crumbled baconabout 2 pieces
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine apples, cinnamon, and honey in a medium bowl. Stir to coat.
Mix in cheese.
Place phyllo cups on a quarter baking sheet. Using a teaspoon, spoon the mixture into each of the phyllo cups.
Sprinkle bacon over the top.
Bake for 8 minutes or until the phyllo cups are lightly browned and the cheese has melted.
Serve immeidately. (I prepare 3 per person for appetizers)
Notes
STORE/REHEATStore the apple phyllo cup appetizers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Note the shells will become soggy as they sit in the fridge.Freezing is not recommended.Reheat them in the oven at 350°F for about 4 minutes or until heated through.
