Homemade Irish Cream is so easy! Just 6 ingredients & 5 minutes results in a creamy liqueur that is as good on the rocks as it is in coffee or baked goods.
¼teaspoonespresso powder or instant coffee granules
¼teaspoonvanilla
½cupIrish whiskey
Instructions
Mix first 5 ingredients in mixing bowl at low speed until well blended.
Blend in whiskey and continue mixing at low speed just long enough to blend.
Makes about 1 cup.
Notes
Variations:
Want to save a few calories? Like it a little less rich? Try using half and half instead of heavy cream. I'd advise not to use whole milk as the liqueur would be too liquidy.
Like less sweet? Add a bit more cream and whiskey to counteract the condensed milk.
More of a teatotaler, cut down on the whisky and add more cream and condensed milk.
Change out the vanilla extract for almond or orange extract. It's a whole new flavor sensation!
Don't have any Irish whiskey? No problem, really any good whiskey will do.
