An easy no yeast, no-knead Irish Soda Bread with only 5 ingredients. This simple recipe bakes up into a rustic loaf with a crunchy crust and an inside that is soft and dense.  It’s a great addition to any St. Patrick's Day dinner.

All-Purpose Flour Baking Soda Buttermilk Sugar Salt

INGREDIENTS

Step 1 Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a mixing bowl.

DIRECTIONS

Step 2 Pour buttermilk into dry ingredients. Stir until just holds together.

Step 3 Knead for 30 seconds to incorporate flour.

Step 4 Shape the dough into an oval and place in greased and floured cake pan.

Step 5 Cut an "x" in the top of the dough.

Step 6 Cover dough with another cake pan and bake at 425 for 40 minutes.

Step 7 Turn out and place on wire rack to cool.

Serve warm with a smear of butter. It's the perfect side for your St. Patrick's Day dinner.
