9ouncesrefrigerated tortellinicheese, veggie or meat
2Tablespoonsolive oil or garlic olive oil
¾cupParmesan cheesedivided
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
½teaspoonminced garlic
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonpepper
Garnish: chopped basil
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to boiling and cook tortellini until al dente per package instructions. Mine took about 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
In a large bowl, toss cooked tortellini with olive oil, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, and seasonings.
Place in the bottom of an air fryer basket, leaving room around each so that it cooks properly. Do not overcrowd! They may have to be done in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crunchy.
Pour into a bowl. I like to spray mine with a bit of olive oil then toss with the remaining ¼ cup Parmesan cheese. The olive oil helps the cheese to stick to the tortellini. Garnish with chopped basil.
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
STORING/REHEATINGStore any leftover tortellini in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.Reheat the tortellini in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes, or until they’re warmed through and crispy again. Avoid microwaving, as they’ll become too soft.
