Bring to a boil, stirring often, then lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool.

HOW TO STORECool the syrup to room temperature. Pour it into a glass airtight container with a lid. A mason jar works well. Store the syrup in the refrigerator. It will last up to 1 month.If you are giving the syrup as a gift, it's advised to sterilize the jar and lid to be safe.
