Peachy Recipes
I'm crazy about fresh Georgia peaches, they’re like summer captured in a fruit! They’re so versatile and when they're in season I love to use them to create sweet, refreshing treats and drinks. One of my favorites is this easy Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix and, of course, this dreamy Georgia Peach Cocktail with vodka.
Peaches add a burst of flavor to many of my summer favorites like Overnight French Toast Bake, Yogurt Peach Smoothie, and these incredibly moist Peach Almond Muffins. But I always feel that peach season is never long enough to make everything I want.

Whether you're lounging by the pool or throwing a backyard bash, here are a few reasons why this Georgia peach cocktail will be your new go-to summer sipper:
- Easy to Make: This peach cocktail has simple ingredients and is as easy as blending and pouring.
- Pretty Presentation: It's a show-stopper! Pour in the tart cranberry juice, give it a gentle swirl, and watch the colors blend to look like the beautiful shades of a ripe peach.
- Refreshing: Each sip is a burst of cool refreshment. Perfect for sizzling summer days.
- Great for Any Occasion: Whether it's a casual afternoon get-together or an elegant evening affair, this cocktail dresses up or down to suit any event.
- Customizable: Love a good tweak? Adjust the sweetness, switch up the liquor, or add different garnishes to make it uniquely yours.
- Make It By The Pitcher: Whip up a batch of this fruity drink at your next gathering. It’s guaranteed to please.
Fresh Peach Alternatives
The fresh peach puree is what really makes this drink so delicious. Of course, you can't always find fresh peaches, but you can replace the peach puree with peach nectar or peach juice. You can also use canned or frozen peaches.
Recipe Notes
I love the flavor of the orange juice mixed with the peach so I also doubled up a little on it by adding a small amount of Grand Marnier (my favorite liqueur). This is completely optional but does give the cocktail a smoother overall taste.
I use a small electric chopper to do all the mixing but you can easily use a small blender like a Magic Bullet or a large blender and make it by the pitcherful.
You might want to opt for a small amount of agave syrup or simple syrup to sweeten the mix depending on how sweet your peaches are.
Ingredients
Before you mix up this peachy cocktail, gather all your ingredients. You'll find the exact measurements in the printable recipe card below.
- Fresh peach - because what's a Georgia peach recipe without plenty of peach flavor!
- Vodka - use your favorite or Tito's for gluten-free
- Orange juice
- Cranberry or pomegranate juice
- Grand Marnier or Triple Sec (optional)
- Agave or simple syrup (optional)
Other Liquor Options
While vodka is a fabulous choice for this fresh peach cocktail, it's fun to mix things up! Here are some other liquor options you might consider. Each brings its unique twist to the peachy flavor of this summery drink:
- Bourbon (Bourbon Peach Smash): Swap in bourbon for a smoky touch that complements the sweet peach with a hint of Southern charm.
- Gin: Using gin instead of vodka will add a herbal note to your cocktail, perfect for those who enjoy a more complex flavor.
- Peach Liqueur: For a peachier punch, use peach schnapps or other peach-flavored liqueur. It boosts the fruity flavor to the max, making every sip super peachy!
- Rum (Peach Daiquiri): Transform your drink into a tropical escape by using rum. It’s like a vacation in a glass.
- Tequila (Peach Margarita): Tequila makes everything more fun, right? Mix it up for a Peach Margarita that’s sure to be a hit.
- Whiskey: Whiskey adds a robust, oaky flavor that really stands up to the sweetness of peach, creating a more sophisticated version of this fruity concoction.
- Champagne or Prosecco (Peach Mimosa or Bellini): Go bubbly by adding Champagne or Prosecco instead of vodka. Leave out the ice cubes for a classy brunch cocktail.
- Wine (Peach Sangria): For all the wine lovers - use your favorite white wine to make a Peach Sangria. It’s refreshing, fruity, and perfect for sipping on a warm afternoon.
How to Make a Fresh Peach Cocktail
Mixing up a fresh peach cocktail is surprisingly simple and a whole lot of fun! Here you'll find a step-by-step guide to help you get each step just right.
- Place fresh peach slices in a chopper or blender. Add vodka.
- Add in orange juice. At this stage, you can also add Grand Marnier and agave if needed.
- Pour into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Slowly pour in cranberry juice for a pop of color then give it a slight swirl.
Dress your beautiful Georgia Peach Cocktail up with a mint sprig and a slice of peach. Doesn't it look so cool and refreshing? I bet you are licking your screen about now. (no judgment here) Believe me, keepin' it cool this summer has never been tastier.
Peach Cocktail Garnish
Add a garnish of peach slices and a touch of fresh mint or opt for a rosemary sprig instead of the mint. Whatever way you dress it up, this is truly one of the best peach cocktails!
Recipe Variations
- Make a mocktail! You can totally make this Peach Cocktail recipe without alcohol. Just omit the vodka and Grand Marnier for a refreshing summer drink the whole family will love.
- Want a frozen drink? Place the ice cubes in the blender with the peach-vodka-cranberry mixture and blend.
- Peach Lemonade Refresher: Add a little lemonade to the mix and drop in a few slices of peaches for a visual effect. Plus they're a delicious treat to eat after finishing your drink.
- Make an adult popsicle. Just omit the Grand Marnier and ice and add just 1-½ oz of vodka then pour into popsicle molds and freeze. You can also add peach slices into the molds after filling for a nice visual effect.
