Summer cocktails don't get much better than this easy White Peach Sangria. A refreshing combination of white wine, tequila, seasonal peaches, and blueberries and flavored with peach schnapps for a light drink perfect for summer. Great for BBQs, poolside and just relaxin'.
White Sangria with Peaches
Sangrias are the perfect cocktail for summer. They're light, refreshing, and oh so easy to make. This white sangria with peaches has juicy, sweet, seasonal peaches balanced with tart lime and a pop of color from blueberries. There's a touch more potency with the addition of tequila and a bump of flavor from the peach schnapps.
Any sangria is simple to throw together, just some cut-up fruit, white wine, a little sugar, and stir. Just remember to give this sangria with tequila a nice overnight stay in the refrigerator to marry all the flavors.
And it's easy to make it your own with endless fruit and wine options. Combinations like my favorite Watermelon Sangria with watermelon, lime, orange, and mint, Pineapple White Wine Sangria with pineapple, mangos, strawberries, and coconut rum, and of course, this white peach sangria full of peaches, limes, blueberries, and tequila.

Peach Sangria Ingredients
Here's a handy list of what's in this white sangria with peaches:
- White Wine - Pinot Grigio or your favorite white wine. See list below for options.
- Tequila - use a blanco tequila so as not to muddy the drink's color. This gives an added alcoholic punch along with crisp flavor, spicy undertones, and herbal notes.
- Peach Schnapps - amps up the peach flavor as well as sweetness.
- Sugar - adds a touch of sweetness. You can adjust the amount to your liking. Optionally you can use honey or a clear agave.
- Peaches - Yellow or white peaches bring flavor, sweetness and texture to the sangria.
- Blueberries - add a pop of color along with sweetness
- Lime - gives the mix a little zing
- Oranges, Lemons (optional) - for more color and flavor. Remember to remove the seeds prior to adding.
Best Wine for Sangria
This recipe calls for Pinot Grigio, but you can use different wines when making sangria. Here are some ideas:
Best White Wine For Sangria
- Chardonnay
- Riesling - dry or semi-sweet is best
- Sauvignon Blanc
Best Pink Wine for Sangria
- Peach Wine
- Rosé - dry or semi-sweet is best
- White Zinfandel
Best Red Wine for Sangria
- Spanish Red Wine - Garnacha or Rioja (Spain is where sangria was invented).
- Pinot Noir
- Zinfandel
How do you cut a peach for sangria?
I like to divide the peach in half, remove the pit, then slice each half into 4-6 pieces.
How to Make Peach Sangria
- Slice all the fruit. Cut the peaches in wedges, limes and lemons in rounds, oranges, if using, can be sliced then cut in half. Blueberries are good to go the way they are. Place what you want to use in the bottom of a large pitcher.
- Sprinkle in sugar.
- Pour tequila over the fruit.
- Add peach schnapps.
- Top with a bottle of white wine such as Pinot Grigio.
- Stir to mix then cover and place in refrigerator for at least 8 hours, even better overnight. This will allow the fruit to flavor the sangria and soak up some of the wine.
When you are ready to serve, Place ice and some of the wine-soaked fruit from the pitcher in a glass. I like to use large stemless wine glasses. Garnish the rim with slices of fresh fruit.
Pour the white peach sangria over the fruit and you are ready to go. A cool, refreshingly fruity drink with a wonderful contrast of sweet fruit and slightly tart tequila. Its complex flavor is sure to make this your new summer go-to cocktail. Cheers!
Recipe Variations
- Not a fan of tequila? You can use other liquors instead. Make peach sangria with vodka, rum, or bourbon.
- Don't have peach schnapps? Make this sangria recipe with peach brandy or regular brandy.
- Want other fruit instead of blueberries? Sure! Mango, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, and watermelon are great ones.
- Sparkling Peach Sangria - Make the peach sangria with prosecco or champagne. Just a splash of it on top. Wait to add it when serving. If you add sparkling wine in advance, it will go flat.
- Extra Peachy White Wine Sangria - Make this peach sangria with peach nectar. A cup will do nicely.
Sangria Tips
- If you plan on mixing the sangria right before serving, put all the sangria ingredients in the refrigerator the day before so everything is nice and cold when you mix the drink.
- Use a mid-range wine. Cheap wine will not give the best taste. Fine wine should be enjoyed on its own and not mixed with other flavors.
- Use a wine you enjoy drinking. There's no reason to use a wine you wouldn't drink.
- Dry or sweet wine? It's up to you. Dry wine is most commonly used for sangria. Sweet wine just makes the drink sweeter.
- Ice will dilute sangria. If you have time, freeze some of the fruit and add frozen fruit when serving.
- Switch up the fruit for different flavor combinations.
How to Store and Freeze
Sangria will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Sangria is an excellent candidate for freezing. It will last 3 months in the freezer. To use, break the sangria into pieces and place them in a blender. Instant wine slushie!
