A fantastically refreshing cocktail, the Vodka Sunrise combines lemon soda, vodka and a touch of cherry juice to bring you the perfect summer cocktail.
Today I am blogging over at My Cooking Spot with a fantastically refreshing cocktail, the Vodka Sunrise. How can anyone go wrong mixing lemonade, vodka and a little sparkle? Umm, don't think you can!
It has been getting pretty warm here in Florida already and it's just April. So we start to think of cool drinks, like my Pineapple Coconut Mojito, pretty early in the year. This sparkling concoction came about when I found some delicious Italian soda while shopping at Whole Foods. They had a whole shelf of interesting flavors starting with the lemon soda that I chose as well as Blood Orange, Pomegranate and Tangerine. Doesn't the sound of those flavors get your taste buds hopping?
It turned out to be a delightfully light and tangy cocktail that cools you off and quenches your thirst at the same time. Find the recipe at My Cooking Spot, or check it out below, and let me know what you think if you get a chance to try it. I will definitely be back with variations on this drink including one with the blood orange soda. Stay tuned!
