This Spinach Artichoke Quiche is an easy 3-ingredient meatless meal that combines your favorite cheesy dip with high protein eggs all nestled in a flaky crust. A delicious vegetarian breakfast, brunch, or breakfast for dinner any day of the week. Keto, low-carb, and gluten-free options are given.

I love making quiches! They are so easy to throw together, freeze well for later and there are endless varieties. They are super convenient for busy weeknights, weekend breakfasts, and special enough for Easter or Mother's Day brunch.

When it comes to quiches this spinach artichoke quiche is by far the easiest one I have ever made. Of course, my ham and cheese quiche and vegetable prosciutto quiche are not to be missed either. But when I can make a quiche with only 3 ingredients I’m all in!

Quiches always make a hearty meal that's full of protein and are a great option for keto, low carb, and gluten-free lifestyles. And what’s not to like when you can add your favorite spinach artichoke dip full of cheesy goodness to the mix.

The texture of this quiche is simply amazing. Usually, a quiche, made with lots of cream and cheese, tends to be rich, creamy, and dense. This one tends to rise quite a bit when baked and the result is lighter and softer with a more delicate consistency.

    What is Quiche

Quiche is of French origin and consists of a savory egg custard made with milk, cream, and eggs nestled in a pastry crust, and baked until golden. The quiche can have various add-ins such as cheese, meat, vegetables, or seafood.

    Quiche vs Frittata

A frittata is an egg-based dish that is more similar to an omelet than a quiche. It is much eggier than a quiche, has no crust, and is usually precooked on the stovetop and finished in the oven.

    Breakfast Quiche Ingredients

    Ingredients for 3 ingredient quiche.
    • Spinach Artichoke Dip – use a packaged variety or make your own homemade spinach dip
    • Eggs – arge or extra large will work. Make sure to whisk them well before adding in the dip
    • Frozen pie crust – Use a 9” deep dish variety so that it can hold all your filling or make your own homemade crust

TIP: MAKE YOUR QUICHE LOOK MORE HOMEMADE BY CAREFULLY POPPING THE FROZEN CRUST OUT OF THE TIN PIE PLATE AND LAYING IT IN YOUR OWN PIE DISH. FILL THEN BAKE.

How to Make Spinach Artichoke Quiche

Collage of steps to make easy quiche recipe.
    1. Crack eggs into large bowl, season with salt and pepper, and whisk well.
    2. Pour in spinach artichoke dip.
    3. Stir to combine.
    4. Pour into pie crust. Pie crust does not need to be completely thawed but it is best to set out on counter for about 15 minutes prior to filling.
    5. Once filled, place in preheated oven and bake until done. You can test it for doneness by inserting a sharp knife in the center. It should come out with no liquid although center may jiggle just slightly.

    Easy Quiche Recipe Variations

Add Protein - chopped or shredded ham, bacon, or crab meat

More Vegetables - caramelized onions, cut asparagus, sauteed mushrooms

Seasonings - add a pinch of nutmeg or a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce

Low Carb/ Keto Quiche - make this easy quiche recipe as is but without the crust. Spray the pie plate with avocado oil or other nonstick sprays prior to adding filling. Cooking time is slightly shorter so check after 45 minutes.

Gluten-free Quiche - change out the refrigerated crust for a gluten-free crust, make it crustless, or make your own crust with this gluten-free pie crust recipe from Fearless Dining

Mini Quiches - follow the recipe directions except bake them in a cupcake pan with or without the crust at 375 degrees for 15-25 minutes.

    How to Store/Freeze Breakfast Quiche

To store: Let the baked quiche cool then wrap tightly with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator. It will keep for 3-4 days.

To freeze: Cover with aluminum foil or, if using the pie plate that the frozen crust came in, slip into a resealable freezer-safe gallon bag and freeze. It will keep for 3 months.

To reheat: If frozen, thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then just pop it in a 325-degree oven, covered with foil, for about 15 minutes or until warm.

What to Serve with Spinach Artichoke Quiche

I like to serve my quiche with warm bread like my rosemary bread, dinner rolls, or some type of muffins such as lemon blueberry muffins. I also add in a side salad such as Caprese salad, fruit salad, or Ambrosia.
