Our Tropical Chia Smoothie is perfect for summer. Packed with healthy, delicious strawberries, banana, pineapple, mango & coconut, it's tropical to the max!

This was absolutely fruitalicious! I know, I know, fruitalicious is not a word but it certainly seemed like one when I was drinking this heavenly fruit-based smoothie. It is chock full of vitamins, calcium, potassium, and more with the addition of the fantastic superfood "Chia Seeds", it's packed with omega-3's.

Did you know that Chia Seeds are the richest plant-based source of omega-3s? Their omega-3's help to reduce inflammation and high cholesterol, help maintain healthy body weight, and are important in energy metabolism.

The other fruits have decided benefits as well:

Banana - aids in lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of certain cancers, is high in Vitamin C, potassium and folate

Strawberry - high in fiber, eases inflammation, helps burned stored fat and promotes blood flow

Pineapple - contains vitamins A & C, calcium and potassium and is rich in fiber. Helps to strengthen bones and is an anti-inflammatory

Mango - protects against certain cancers, helps lower cholesterol, aids in eye health and is high in fiber and vitamin C

Coconut Water - high in fiber, helps to suppress appetite, aids in reducing blood pressure and, since it contains 5 essential electrolytes, it boosts hydration during vigorous exercise

Smoothies are so easy to make too and they are a great way to start your day. Have one for breakfast or make it ahead for a quick energy-packed lunch. And when you make them yourself you know just what you are getting. No added sugars or fillers, just pure goodness.
