    Tropical cocktails

Summer is hot so cool cocktails that remind you of a tropical island are both delicious and refreshing. These exotic drinks are fruity, fun, and just bursting with flavor. Think coconut, pineapple, orange, and other fruits in the perfect blend of sweet and tart that, with one sip, takes you to the beach without leaving home.

Favorites like this colorful Blue Curacao Cocktail with coconut rum and sparkling orange water, a creamy Mango Colada with fresh mangos and coconut cream, and this light Pineapple Coconut Mojito with sweet pineapple juice, coconut water, and rum can't be beat for chillin' in the summer.

Why you'll love this coconut daiquiri recipe

Easy - simple as a traditional daiquiri to whip up. All you need are 3 ingredients plus some ice for a cool tropical refresher.

Simple to customize - make it sweeter with more cream of coconut, boozier with more rum, or turn it from a slushie to a frozen daiquiri with more ice.

Tropical Flavor - Put the lime (or sweet and sour mix in this case) in the coconut, combine it with island rum, and voila - island deliciousness!

Cool Goodness - a creamy frozen drink that's perfect for a hot summer day.

Wondering what's in the drink? Here's a list of the simple ingredients so you can make sure you have what you need to make it. The exact measurements are in the printable recipe card below.

I love to garnish this tropical cocktail with a lime wheel, a colorful straw, and a pretty umbrella. Pure goodness that you can eat up with your eyes but one sip is all you need to relax and dream of a tropical vacation with white sandy beaches and warm, blue waters! Cheers!

    Recipe tips

Multiple servings: Double, triple, or make a big batch for a crowd by adjusting the serving size in the recipe card below.

Drink after blending: It is best served right away since it is a blended frozen drink. If left in the refrigerator it will become diluted and watery.

Flavored ice cubes: Make ice cubes with coconut water for a more coconut-flavored drink.

Keep it cold: Serve it in a frozen glass to keep it cold longer.

    Recipe variations

Banana Coconut Daiquiri - add a few banana slices

Coconut Lime Daiquiri - add 1 ounce of lime juice for a more tart cocktail.

Mango Coconut Daiquiri - add a few pieces of fresh mango

Strawberry Coconut Daiquiri - add a few strawberries

Rum - use light white rum or coconut rum

On the Rocks - Stir the coconut cream, rum, and sour mix together and pour it into a glass filled with ice.
