Why you'll love this cucumber mojito recipe

There's just something about this drink that makes you want to kick back and relax. Here's why this will be your new go-to mojito cocktail:

It's a refreshing twist on the classic. This isn't your usual mojito. Instead of rum, it's made with cucumber vodka, giving it a cool, garden-fresh vibe that pairs beautifully with mint and lime.

It's extra citrusy. Instead of plain club soda, this version uses lime sparkling water, which adds even more zesty flavor and a little bubbly fun.

It's super easy to make. No fancy techniques or bartending skills needed. Just muddle, mix, and pour over ice. That's it!

Perfect for warm weather. This cocktail was made for sunny days. It's light, crisp, and incredibly thirst-quenching.

Easy to customize. From fruity to spicy to mocktail-friendly, there are tons of ways to make it your own. (Keep scrolling for ideas!)

Ingredients and their part in the drink

This cucumber mint mojito is made with just a handful of fresh ingredients that work together to create one seriously refreshing drink.

    Ingredients for Cucumber Mojito.

Fresh Lime Juice - Adds tartness and brightness, balancing out the sweetness.

Mint Leaves - Classic mojito flavor! Mint adds coolness and depth to each sip.

Simple Syrup - A sweetener that balances out the tartness of the lime juice.

Cucumber Vodka - This gives the mojito a special twist. It adds a mellow, herbal freshness to the classic.

Lime Sparkling Water - Adds fizz and an extra layer of lime flavor, making the drink even more refreshing.

Garnishes - Lime and cucumber slices not only make it pretty but also enhance the flavor with every sip.

How to make a cucumber mojito

This cucumber mojito with vodka comes together in just a few easy steps. Here's how to mix one up:

    Steps to make cucumber mojito.
    1. Place mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with lime juice and simple syrup. Muddle to release the mint leaf oils to flavor the drink.
    2. Add cucumber vodka to shaker and stir.

Tip: To muddle a drink means to take a muddler, or you can use the back of a wooden spoon, and gently press or crush an herb, fruit, or spice to draw out their flavors and aromas. This will allow them to better mix with the alcohol.

Finishing steps for Cucumber Mojito adding sparkling water.
    1. Divide mojito mixture between two tall glasses filled with ice.
    2. Top with lime flavored sparkling water.

Recipe variations to make it your own

This cocktail is fun to play with! Here are some ways to switch up your cucumber mojito depending on what you're craving:

    • More Cucumber - Want it even more cucumber-y? Muddle ¼ to ½ cup chopped cucumber with the mint for extra fresh flavor.
    • Switch the Liquor - Prefer rum? Go classic with white rum, or try gin for a botanical twist.
    • Change the Sweetener - Use simple syrup, sugar, or even honey if you don't have agave on hand.
    • Use a Different Herb - Try fresh basil in place of mint for a sweet and peppery twist.
    • Fruity Option - Muddle in chopped strawberries or watermelon for a fruity mojito. For a strawberry cucumber mojito, use strawberry simple syrup as your sweetener!
    • Add Some Heat - Muddle in a few slices of jalapeño for a spicy kick.
    • Make it Bubbly - Use Prosecco or soda water instead of lime sparkling water for a sparkling mojito with a bit of flair.
    • Mocktail Version - Skip the vodka and add extra sparkling water for a virgin cucumber mojito that's just as delicious and refreshing.
