This is a sad day - it's the last day of #Choctoberfest. Can I hear an "ahhh". And the last day to enter our contest if you haven't yet (but I know y'all wouldn't leave it until the last minute, right?).
Today I'm getting back on the healthy track and providing you with a smoothie that knocks it out of the ballpark nutrition-wise. And it tastes just like you're eating chocolate covered strawberries! Now how cool it that?
But the really great thing about this chocolate covered strawberry smoothie is introducing you to Barlean's products. Today I used their Chocolate Silk Greens powder, which is derived from natural nutrients from greens, fruits, vegetables and real cocoa, and their Omega Swirl Chocolate Mint flaxseed oil. Just the combination of these two ingredients made the smoothie so rich and chocolaty, with just a touch of mint, that I know you'll want one every day.
The recipe is quick and easy, taking no more than 5 minutes to throw together. Just place everything in the blender, blend and go. You can even take it with you and store in the fridge for lunch. It won't be frozen but, believe me, it's just as good.

CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 5 oz container vanilla Greek yogurt or Silk vanilla non-dairy yogurt
- ½ cup almond milk or milk of your choice
- 1 scoop Barleans Greens Chocolate Silk powder
- 1 Tablespoon Omega Swirl Essential Woman Chocolate Mint oil
- Whipped cream or coconut cream
- Chocolate covered strawberry
- In a blender, combine all ingredients together except toppings. Blend until smooth. Pour into glass and top with preferred toppings.
